How do webinars work?
A webinar is a conference that is transmitted over the web. The conference speaker gives his/her presentation by means of a video conferencing platform that is accessible to anyone with a computer and an Internet connection. Participants may intervene in the conference via instant messaging in a chat box integrated in the online conference room. Participants can access the conference using the username and password they have provided when registering for the webinar.
What are the requirements to participate in the webinars?
Nothing more than a computer with access to the Internet and speakers/headset. Although the speaker will have a camera and microphone to present the webinar, participants can ask questions and interact with one another by writing in a chat box. The online conferencing platform is compatible with Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Safari web browsers. We recommend that you test your access to the webinar within 24 hours prior to the webinar scheduled time to avoid any delays in accessing the webinar.
How do I access the webinar?
To access the webinars, please click here. The email address and password provided by the participant when registered will be needed.
Can I receive a certificate for my participation in a CAIE webinar?
The CAIE Secretariat issues certificates upon request, by writing at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What are the registration costs for one or several CAIE webinars?
For the Webinar Series 2014-2015, each webinar costs US$ 120 per participant, with discounts for multiple participants from the same institution to one webinar, or an individual participant wishing to participate in several webinars. The CAIE is pleased to announce that webinars presented by YACHAY: “CAIE-2015 Agenda of Activities and “Towards an Ibero-American Society of Knowledge” will be free, but limited to 100 participants. Take advantage of the opportunity to register for this webinar series focusing on the most significant issues currently for the internationalisation of higher education.
